Delight in a delicious afternoon of food, wine tasting and entertainment at Sonoma County Bites, a tastefully fun event in Sebastopol on Sunday, May 21, from noon to 5 p.m. This culinary sampler will take place among the apple trees on the grounds of O’Reilly and Associates located at 1005 Highway 116 North. Admission is free.

Sonoma County Bites presents a unique opportunity to try delectable samples from more than 20 of the county’s best restaurants, food purveyors and wineries, including John Ash & Co., Chateau Souverain, K & L Bistro, Pignoli, Screamin’ Mimi’s, Patisserie Angelica, Balletto Vineyards, Dutton Vineyards and Taft Street Winery. Pavilion-style tents will decorate the lawn, where each food and wine vendor will offer tastes for $1 to $3 a sample.

Throughout the afternoon, a variety of festivities will complement the savory temptations, including live music, the Morris dancers, a cooking demonstration, a magician and more. You can also peruse wares from a select group of local, specialty retailers and bid in a silent auction.

Children are welcome to explore their own selection of tasty offerings, including the always-popular pizza and ice cream combo. Special children’s activities are also planned.

Ride your bike to the site, as O’Reilly and Associates is located along the paved West County Trail. And bring a blanket so you can dine while relaxing with friends under the apple trees.

Free parking is available onsite.

As a green event, Sonoma County Bites is carefully being designed to produce the lowest amount of waste possible. Recycling of glass, aluminum, paper, etc. will be made easy. All food discards will be collected separately and composted. All efforts are aimed at zero waste.
